2 Years

Oh 2 years! It's so weird how these past 2 years have seemed to fly by, and yet also were filled with some very long, challenging weeks and months. Corabelle is officially a little person now, talking, opinionated, and just wanted to be a big kid!

Happy Birthday, Cora!

Cora celebrated her 2nd birthday in Houston, and she had the best day! It was a pretty chill day, but oh what fun she had!

18 Months

18 Months!?! Cora has suddenly turned into a little girl rather than a baby. While it's lots of fun, she's also thrown in lots of tantrums just to keep us on our toes! :)

15 Month Update

 

It's hard to believe Corabelle is already 15 months! She's still not walking, but she makes up for that in crawling fast and climbing everything she can.

Happy Birthday, Corabelle!

It was a whirlwind of a birthday celebration for Corabelle. Her birthday fell right between getting back from Cambodia and Chinese New Year. We got to have two celebrations: one on her actual birthday and a party on one of the Chinese New Year public holidays.

12 Months

I can hardly believe a year ago we were in the hospital awaiting Corabelle's arrival! She's changed so much, and despite the hard months, it's been a fun year!

11 Months

11 months, I can hardly believe it! It means the next post will be 1 year! Where did the time go? This month was busy with a trip back to the US, which Corabelle handled pretty well, and although no crawling yet, she is moving around!

Corabelle’s 1st Christmas

1st Christmas was a fun one, and of course we couldn’t let it go by without some fun photos like we did with Emmeline as a baby!

10 Months

I can't believe we are only two months away from 1 year old! This month Corabelle's personality has really started to take shape, and although she's still not mobile, she did get her first teeth this month!

9 Months

It's been a busy month with a trip to Australia and Halloween! Corabelle has now officially been out as long as she was in. Her 9 month birthday fell on her 39 week birthday, and she was born at 39 weeks almost exactly! (Ok, 50 minutes into the next day.)

8 Months

I can hardly believe Corabelle is 8 months old. It seems like just yesterday she was 4 months! While we aren't really mobile yet, I'm 100% okay with that, and we've seen a lot of personality developing over the past month.

7 Months

 
What a fun, busy month! From a visit form Grandma and Grandpa, a vacation, and Emmeline starting school, it was a whirlwind and in the meantime Corabelle mastered some new things!

First Foods

A few weeks ago Corabelle tried her first foods. I've been a bit more lax in introducing foods than with Emmeline, and honestly, most days she's lucky if she gets one meal of real food! But, she seems to love all foods so far! Little has been ingested, but she loves the flavors of every fruit and veggie I've introduced. She doesn't love the swallowing/texture part yet and still gags and spits out most things, but I'm sure we will get there soon. She is already so much better at grabbing and picking up her food than just a few weeks ago! Although, sometimes she's still lazy and just leans down to eat, as you'll see below! :)

 

 

6 Months

Well, I hate to jinx it, but I think we might have finally turned a corner this month! The fussiness appears to have ended, woot woot! It's been a big month from new milestones to food and visitors!

5 Months

Whew, what a month. I keep thinking one of these months things are just going to fall into place, but that hasn’t totally happened yet. And yet, despite the challenges, it’s been fun as Corabelle becomes more interactive. 

4 Months

Although we’ve settled in this month and are starting to have more of a routine, it’s still been quite a month! Corabelle is changing and growing every day!

3 Months

Wow, this month has been crazy! Corabelle got baptized, moved to Singapore, and moved into our new apartment. She’s been a trooper through it all, but we are looking forward to some routine now!

Corabelle is Baptized

Just a few days before we left for Singapore, Corabelle was baptized. It was a lovely ceremony and a great way to celebrate her joining God’s family with all of our families.

2 Months

Another month, and it was a fun one! Corabelle started smiling and interacting more and more. 

The play mat has become the favorite toy, especially the black and white peacock that hangs from it. She’s always kicking and smiling at it; even close to a few laughs there! Tummy time is still not a favorite, but she gets plenty of neck strengthening looking over peoples shoulders and in the ring sling. 

 

Her sleep has been a bit all over the place this month. We don’t have a set schedule yet, but she definitely likes to nap more during the day than Emmeline did! Nighttime has ranged from 4-8 hour chunks this month, but as we approached 2 months we are pretty consistently asleep by 8:15 (sometimes earlier), wake around 3/3:15 to eat, sleep till 6:30/6:45ish. Of course, we’ve had some nights with more awake times, which makes for a tired mama!

Corabelle continues to be a spit up queen. It doesn’t seem to bother her much, but the laundry is out of control for both her and me! Overall she’s a pretty chill baby. She tolerates her car seat now, loves her big sister (and big sister her), recognizes Mom and grandparents, and tracks objects. She still has a significant fussy time in the evening around 6-7pm where nothing seems to calm her, but getting her to sleep seems to help!

 

 

Hopefully the fussiness subsides in the next month or so. For now we will enjoy the smiles! Looking forward to another fun month and being reunited with Dad!

Easter

Easter was busy this year! A little strange not having Dad around, but we had lots of fun with family.
