This year one of Emmeline's friends, Everett, and his family invited us over to their family's Thanksgiving. Emmeline and Everett had a blast together, and we enjoyed the company for the afternoon. It was nice to have somewhere to go since we couldn't be with our own families.
Emmeline enjoyed all of the Thanksgiving crafts we did leading up to Thanksgiving. She sure has become a craft fiend after not being so sure as a baby! Her turkey placemat from school is still one of her favorites!
Turkey pancakes for breakfast were fun in the making, but when I put them on a big plate instead of one of Emmeline's plates, tears resulted. Eventually, after disassembling the turkey onto her plate, she was happy to eat the turkey up!
Sadly, I didn't get any pictures of the adults together, but it was an afternoon of fun and good food. Her family is Cajun, so we had the most fun trying to decipher their Cajun french phrases with actual French phrases. Emmeline and Everett loved flying paper airplanes with Sally's brother after nap time! :)

One of my favorite things we started this year was our thankful pumpkin. Each night, every person would name one thing they are thankful for to add to the pumpkin. Emmeline caught on pretty quickly and did a good job naming things she was thankful for (often repeating the important family ones)! Bold ones are Emmeline's contributions.
